1、EGP與EAP接口思考,劉悅明東華理工大學(xué) 江西南昌ymliu@ecit.cn,2015-01-24復(fù)旦大學(xué),研究背景,ESP與EAP是中國高等教育新常態(tài)形勢下大學(xué)英語教學(xué)改革的必然趨勢。目前ESP與EAP仍然處于理論上的討論,特別是概念性和必要性的討論。對于具體教學(xué)環(huán)節(jié)的探討不夠。尤其是針對中國高等院校的層次性、專業(yè)性差異研究不夠。,Dilemma,大學(xué)英語的改革經(jīng)歷了30多年先后4輪大的改革,帶來的最終結(jié)果是對現(xiàn)行的

2、大學(xué)英語的教學(xué)詬病不斷,批判連連。ESP早在20年前就提出來了,然而始終停留在理論層面假想之中,對這一新的理念實行和探索因種種原因總是停留在外圍轉(zhuǎn)悠,在一片質(zhì)疑聲中孤獨前行。內(nèi)在渴求變革的中國大學(xué)英語教學(xué)與現(xiàn)實社會中寸步難行的矛盾使得中國大學(xué)外語的教學(xué)陷入一片茫然、進(jìn)退兩難的維谷。但,中國高校分類改革的新常態(tài)倒逼大學(xué)英語不得不尋求新的出路:EOP與EAP,研究問題,EGP與EGAP、ESAP之間的語言層次聯(lián)系與教學(xué)要求聯(lián)系是

3、什么?是充分條件,必要條件,還是充要條件 ?是連續(xù)統(tǒng),還是并列塊?,研究方法,找出了四個相關(guān)的文本作為EGP-I,EGP-II,EGAP,ESAP。對四個文本從語篇研究視角(Text Linguistics) 進(jìn)行對比分析。四個文本均關(guān)于美國科羅拉多大峽谷地質(zhì)地貌文章,EGP-I是課外閱讀材料,EGP-II是托福考試閱讀材料,EGAP是摘自美國www.Geology.com 科普性介紹文章,ESAP是摘自The Journal

9、quot;When did it form?" If only there were a simply answer! Geologists still debate many of the details about the origin and age of the canyon but recent geologic research has shed new light on the topic. Using new,

10、 sophisticated laboratory techniques geologists are able to tease ever more information from the canyon's seemingly stubborn rocks.,Pleistocene basaltic lava dams and outburst-?ood deposits in the western Grand Canyo

11、n, Arizona, have been correlated by means of cosmogenic 3 He(3Hec) ages and concentrations of SiO2, Na2O, K2O, and rare earth elements. These data indicate that basalt clasts and vitro clasts in a given outburst-?ood dep

12、osit came from a common source, alava dam. With these data, it is possible to distinguish individual dam-?ood events and improve our understanding of the interrelations of volcanism and river processes. At least ?ve lava

13、 dams on the Colorado River failed catastrophically between 100 and 525 ka; subsequent outburst ?oods emplaced basalt-rich deposits preserved on benches as high as 200m above the current river and up to 53km down stream
