1、基于對(duì)《紅樓夢(mèng)》兩個(gè)英文譯本(楊憲益,大衛(wèi)·雇克斯)的比較研究,該文致力于探討文化翻譯的策略.文化翻譯一直是翻譯界的一個(gè)熱門話題.考慮到翻譯目的,特別是為了弘揚(yáng)中華民族文化傳統(tǒng)的精髓.該文認(rèn)為紐馬克的翻譯策略之一-----語(yǔ)義翻譯是可取的.本文共分為四章.第一章著重介紹《紅樓夢(mèng)》在中國(guó)及世界文學(xué)史上的地位,這對(duì)決定它的翻譯策略有相當(dāng)大的影響;此外還進(jìn)一步對(duì)文化進(jìn)行了分析,剖析了各民族文化差異的原因,從而證明了保存文化差異弘揚(yáng)文化精髓的重
2、要性;第二章著重于理論分析.首先引入紐馬克的翻譯理論----語(yǔ)義翻譯與交際翻譯,通常不同的文本不同的目的決定了不同的翻譯策略.因此在這一特定文化要素下,語(yǔ)義翻譯是最佳選擇.其間引用大量《紅樓夢(mèng)》兩個(gè)英譯本的比較譯文以突出體現(xiàn)其必要性.理論的第二部分是接受美學(xué).接受美學(xué)認(rèn)為只有當(dāng)文本內(nèi)容(此處指譯本內(nèi)容)與讀者的期待視野相吻合才是好的文本(譯本),而語(yǔ)義翻譯在通常情況下完全可以達(dá)到這一要求,這與它特定的翻譯目的和特定的讀者群有相當(dāng)?shù)年P(guān)系;
