3、cle Navigation System as an important constituent of the tracffic control system, has been valued day by day. As a typical representative of the new automobile information electronic products, Vehicle Navigation System h
4、as the vital practical significance in improving the municipal traffic condition, promoting the traffic safety and enhancing the traffic efficiency. This article has analyzed the research status and development trend of
5、Vehicle Navigation System both here and abroad, and studied the related technology of Vehicle Navigation System, such as GPS, Mobile Location Technology, GSM/GPRS Mobile Communication System and Electronic Map Technology
6、. Based on this, a detailed design proposal and the realization method had given in this article. This article content includes following several parts mainly: Analyzed and thorough researched the research status and dev
7、elopment trend of the related technology, mastered the design flow of the embedded system and development methods, analyzed the system components, the location principle and the applications of GPS, studied the Mobile Lo
8、cation technology, the GSM/GPRS Mobile Communication technology, and the related knowledge about electronic map. According to the functional requirement and performance index of the Vehicle Navigation System, perfection
9、 the overall design of Vehicle Navigation System. Determined necessary hardware resource, accomplished the hardware design of the system, including the determination of the embedded processor, and the selection of approp
10、riate GPS module, the GSM module and the input and output device. Completed the software design of the Vehicle Navigation System, chosen the appropriate embedded operating system and the graphical user interface system a
11、ccording to the design objective, and investigated how to transplant it to the embedded processor, and analyzed the scheduling principle of multi-task. In the light of the functions need to be realized of the system, and
