3、my sustainable development in recent years; therefore, the wide and deep research for light steel structure system has important practical significance and value. Based on above- mentioned situati
4、on, in order to get the proper optimization structure system in light steel structure ,this paper makes the further study and investigation for gabled frames system. According to Structure beha
5、vior of gabled frames, resisting lateral deformation ability is depended on mainly rigid joints of both side in the column top, and other joints do not take any effect, it looks that the co
6、rner joints of gabled frames pay a very important part in structural overall job. So, it is important to analyze its mechanical properties. At present, it does not have a standard for the c
7、onstructional requirement of corner joint. Therefore, it is necessary to further investigate mechanical property of corner joint in gabled frames. The main content is given in this paper: ( 1 )A
8、ccording to “Technical specification for steel structure of light- weight buildings with gabled frames” (CECS102: 2002) 7.2.10 cause stipulation, when shearing stress of joint zone is lower than s
9、hearing strength design value of steel ,the corner joint does not need to set the stiffening rib. But reasonable setting method and calculation formula is not given, when corner joint need to
10、 be set stiffening rib. The paper makes use of methods which contain theoretical analysis, numerical calculation, and finite element analysis. At the same time, the paper makes a finite elemen
11、t calculation of three different styles corner joint of gabled frames by ANSYS finite element software, and does the yield stress analysis, stress ratio analysis, load- displacement curve analysi
12、s, and distortion analysis of corner joint zone. ( 2 )According to “ Code for design of steel structures”(GBJ50017- 2003) 3.2.7 cause stipulation, rotating Stiffness of semi- rigid connection of be
13、am- column is limited, and the corner joint zone also produces corner when it suffered to moment. It must be ensured moment- rotation relation property before internal force analysis, so that i
14、t can consider the effect of displacement. But the moment- rotation relation experience formula does not be gone into details in code. In this paper ,ANSYS finite element software is employed
15、to investigates semi- rigid connection of welded corner in gabled frame carefully by contrasting the different criteria ratio in height to thickness of web of column and beam, flank extended ra
16、tion of broad to thickness and ration of height to broad in corner joint region. The analysis results show that setting stiffener in the line of inside and outside corner folded point is nec
