2、ents including history, developmental stage of interpersonal forgiveness and the factors of influencing forgiveness. The study through questionnaire survey method, takes a sample of 501 adolescent from two middle schools

3、 and a comprehensive university of Nanjing in random. It preliminary study the adolescent development level of forgiveness and its characteristics. This study research the relationship between forgiveness, face, renqing,

4、 harmony, interpersonal sensitivity and empathy. It try to provide a theoretical basis for exploring ways and means of forgiveness education and training. The conclusions are as follows: (1) Adolescent forgiveness level

5、 rises with age. There are significant differences between sophomore at junior middle school and sophomore at high-school or college. But it isn’t significant difference between sophomore at high-school and sophomore. T

6、here is a significant gender differences in adolescent forgiveness. Girls are more likely to forgive than boys. (2) There is a significant positive correlation between forgiveness and perspetive- taking. Between forgiven

7、ess and personal depressed, there is significant negative correlation. There aren’t significant correlations between forgiveness and fantasy, forgiveness and empathy. There is a significant positive correlation between f

8、orgiven- ess and cognitive empathy. (3) There are significant positive correlations between forgiveness and renqing, harmony and interpersonal sensitivity. Between forgiveness and face, there is significant negative corr

9、elation. Multiple regression analyses identified face have negative influence to forgiveness, and renqing, harmony have positive influence to forgiveness. (4) The correlation between forgiveness and cultural personality
