2、chool students. This study includes two parts: The first aims to explore thetotal situations of social support and perceived social support of the secondaryvocational school students from single parent families. It’s als

3、o important to explorethe differences on the demographic variables of the secondary vocational schoolstudents from single parent families. And study the relationship of their social supportand perceived social support by

4、 taking a questionnaire on 442 secondary vocationalschool students with “social support revalued scale” and “perceived social supportscale”, there are 42 students from single parent families and 400 from the other. Thenu

5、se SPSS to analyze and process the collected data; The second part stands on thatbase, focuses on the intervention by group counseling, aims to raise the ten secondaryvocational school students’ perceived social supports

6、 who come from single parentfamilies and have poor capability on perceived social support. The results are asfollows:First, students from single parent families’ scores significantly lower thanstudents from whole familie

7、s in the objective support, the subjective support and thetotal situations of social support.Second, there are some results in the differences on the demographic variables ofthe secondary vocational school students from

8、single parent families. In terms ofgender, girls’ perceived social support ability is superior to boys’ ability obviously. Interms of lifestyle, the students who long live with their father’ scores significantlyhigher th

9、an others about making use of the supports, the total situations of socialsupports and family support. In terms of single parent families’ length of time, thescores of students whose over five years are higher than the o

10、ther. In terms of the onlychild or not, in the subjective support, the objective support, the total situations ofsocial support and family support, the only child have higher scores than others.Third, there is a very sig

11、nificant positive correlation between the social supportand the perceived social support of secondary vocational school students from singleparent families. The coefficient of association is 0.55.Fourth, in the intervent
