3、em, Flying apsaras in the Buddhist art particularly is a typical representative of such kind of flying forms. Flying apsaras is not the image of our own culture, but rather the fruits grafted by foreign culture and our

4、own culture. Moreover after being mixed and integrated with Chinese traditional art this image has come to be something with Chinese aesthetics. In the western classical art, there are also the images of flying, the ange

5、l waving wings is the representative. However Chinese Flying apsaras without wings also create something dynamic only by brandishing flounces and ribbons. The creation of Flying apsaras in china is neither accidental

6、 nor originated. As early as Flying apsaras’introduction to China with the Buddhist culture, there were already images of God or fairies with wings , which are also called “Feathers ”in Taoism. Actually there are lots of

7、 flying images in our country with long span of time, even through the whole history of Chinese art. From rock paintings during the original era, the birds on potteries, to the sculpture of dragon or phoenix on the Bronz

8、es of Xia, Shang, Zhou dynasties, and then to the portrait of the God-man and fanciful beast on the carved stones and bricks of Qin and Han dynasties, murals of fairies or strange winged-animal of Wei and Jin Dynasties’

9、tomb, etc. show that the existence of the volitation concept in ancient China and its development with the changes and development of history In this paper, we begin with the concept of validation of ancient China, then

10、comprehensively study the impact of religion, politics, philosophy and other cultural factors on this concept within Chinese history and culture background in order to find out the history traces of the evolution of this
