3、theadministrationofboththecentrallocalgovernmentswiththelattershoulderingthemajresponsibilityin1998.In2003itwasrenamedLanzhouUniversityofTechnology.Initsdevelopmentofover90yearsLUThasbecomeauniversityofscienceengineering

4、withcodinateddevelopmentofmultipledisciplinesinscienceengineeringliberalartsdistinctivefeaturesofitsown.Ithasacomprehensiveuniversitywithmultiplelayerstypesofpersonneltrainingsystemincludingdoctsmastersbachelsfunctioning

5、asapillarinsocialeconomicdevelopmentinthewestpartofChina.LUTenjoysahighdisciplinelevelranksamongthefirstgroupofuniversitieswithbachelmasterdegreeauthizationinChina.ItisthefirstinGansuprovincetobeauthizedtoconferdoctaldeg

6、reesetupthecenterfpostdoctalstudiesinengineering.Itisentitledtoconferthetitleofprofessin10subjectareas.Currentlyithas12keysubjectsoftheprovinciallevel3centersfpostdoctalstudies5primarydisciplinedoctalprograms25subdinated

7、isciplinedoctalprograms16primarydisciplinemasterprograms64subdinatedisciplinemasterprograms.Inadditionitisauthizedtoconfermasterdegreeofengineeringin17subjectsmasterdegreefuniversityteacherswhostudyinservicein64subjects.

13、loyersacrossthecountryhassetup390employmentbasesfgraduates.LUThassuccessfullyestablishedacademiccooperationexchangeprogramswithover60universitiesincountriesregionssuchastheU.S.A.U.K.RussiaJapanAustraliasofth.Annuallymeth

14、an100visitingscholarsfromabroadcometotheUniversityover100teachersfromtheUniversityaresentabroadasvisitingscholars.CurrentlyLUTisauthizedtoenrolloverseastudentssponsedbygovernmentscholarship.ThetwocampusesofLUTcoveratotal

15、areaof2430mu(162hectares)withabuildingareaof967000squaremeters.Thelibraryhasacollectionof1682000paperbooks10200GBelectronicones.Thefixedassetarrivesat1.314billionyuanthetotalvalueofteachingresearchinstrumentsequipmentis3
