2、development of economy and the improvement of science and technology and it has affected society , politics , culture and other aspects. This paper will based on new immigrant writer Yan GeLing’s overseas novels and then

3、 analyzes the cultural mentality embodied in her novels’ female characters after their immigration. Their Chinese racial attributes, special cultural and social identity made these female immigrants wonder beside the edg

4、es of immigration country. They couldn’t get identity from the communication with the people in different society, and they should bear dual pressures of male and patriarchal society which led them to live in pain and in

5、 an embarrassment situation. The deep influence of Chinese traditional culture, the new absorb of western culture and the differences of these two cultures brought female immigrants’ identification and feeling new influe

6、nce. This influence includes languages, and also includes habits , cultures and minds. It further made these female immigrants show a different picture of life from national ones, too. Chasing from Yan GeLing’s life expe

7、rience, we can find that immigrant life of has brought her an special perspective to observe Chinese and Western culture. This unique vision made her have the opportunity to exam and think problems like survival and cult
