3、owinvestmentandlowenergyconsumptionwithinstantreactionrate,partialoxidationofmethanehasattractedmuchattentionInthepresentwork,NimetallicmonolithcatalystswerepreparedwithNifoamandfurthertreatedbyacidInordertostudythemecha

4、nismofthecatalyticpartialoxidationofmethaneonNimetallicmonolithcatalyst,catalystlengthandgasflowratewerevaried,andglobalconversionandselectivitydatawerecorrelatedwiththecatalysttemperatureprofilesMorever,consideringthatt

5、heNimetallicmonolithismuchstable,buthasloweractivitythansupportedcatalysts,NimonolithNi/MgAl204dualbedwasstudiedfortheautothermalpartialoxidationofmethaneaswellTheresultsshowedthatthereactionofmethaneautothermalpartialox

6、idationontheNimetallicmonolithcatalystproceededintwostages:initialdirectpartialoxidation,followedbysteamreformingofthemethaneunconvertedFromtheinlettoO7mmofthecatalystbedwastheoxidationzoneinwhich02wascompletelyconverted

7、Furtheronwardsalongthecatalystbed,CH4conversion,H2andCOselectivitiesandthetemperatureofthecatalystbedallincreasedsharply,andthetemperaturereachedthemaximumatthepositionof15mmAfter02totalconversion,methaneconversioncontin

8、uedduetothereformingoftheremainingmethanewithH20inthesecondzone,buttheconversionratesloweddownsignificantly;theH2andCOformationratesalsodecreased,withthedecreaseofCOtolargerextentthanH2;thecatalysttemperaturealsosteeplyd

9、ecreasedafterthemaximumaswellTheslightincreaseofC02molarflowrateinthesteamreformingzoneshowedthatsomewatergasshiftoccurredinthecatalystbedandnoC02reformingwasobservedTheexperimentsresultsindicatedthatthesyngaswasformedmo

10、stlybydirectpartialoxidationintheoxidationzone,andthecontributionofsteamreformingtosyngaswasminorResultonthecatalyticperformanceofNimonolith—Ni/MgAl204dualbedshowedthattheactivityandselectivitiesofdualbedwerehigherthanNi
