4、in Chinese is not a good word, so I want to find the reason.This paper takes”dog” as a center.The first one is to interpret the original meaning of“dog” in terms of Ancient Chinese. The second one is to write up the lexi

5、cal meaning of“dog” from the view of modern Chinese. In these two ways the research gets the origin ofthe meaning of the network language “dog”. And then makes detailed description of“××dog” and “× becomes

6、 a dog” from original, structural, semantic and emotional aspects,and summarizes some other network language with “dog”, such as “abuse the dog” ,“surname + dog”, “fuck the dog” and so on. This paper mainly explains the

7、features of thenetwork language “dog” and the reasons why it has been so popular from surface and deepaspects.Finally discusses how network language affects teaching from the perspective ofteaching Chinese as a foreign l

8、anguage, and how to effectively take advantage of thenetwork language to enhance the interest of learning Chinese, improve students’communicative competence and help them learn more about China.Key words: internet langua
