4、ntly owing to increase in per capita consumption ofenergy and growing population. Due to increased energy demand and the depletion of existing fossil fuelbased sources, it is required to use the energy more efficient. Re

5、searches show that, hospitals representapproximately 6% of total energy consumption in the utility buildings sector. Heating, Ventilation and AirConditioning (HVAC) systems are the major part of electrical energy consump

6、tion at the hospitals. In thispaper, the research papers and practical studies on energy efficiency and energy saving potentials onHVAC systems at the hospitals are presented. Under the following sections, the latest lit

7、eraturesincluding research articles, conferences, e-books, handbooks and company reports interested in energyefficiency, energy saving and energy management HVAC systems are summarized. Variant RefrigerantFlow (VRF) tech

8、nology enables greater energy efficiency and cost savings compared with traditionalHVAC systems is also introduced. This detailed review also focuses on the payback periods of someprojects on HVAC including the installat

9、ion of cogeneration, trigeneration, chiller, new burners, heatexchangers and steam trap systems.and some fix variables. Chen et al. [12] obtained the results that the weekday load model is better than whole day model to
