2、er Su Shi were considered asthe top three literature masters in Song Dynasty. Historical theses took a great proportion in all SuZhe’s works, so the literary value of them is worthy to study. However, Su’s theses have be
3、enignored by the literature academic circle. This thesis will make effort to fill the blank of thissubject, by analyzing Su Zhe’s historical theses and the current academic research situation of Su’sworks. This thesis is
4、 mainly divided into three parts.The first part emphasizes on studying the ideological content in Su Zhe’s historical theses.Su Zhe expressed his profound concerns in the historical figures in his theses. In his concerns
5、, hewrote a lot of his subjective views, integrating with his understanding and compassion onhistorical figures. Also, he promoted his thinking of historical figures into self-review of hisrealistic life.The second part
6、emphasizes on studying the artistic characteristics in Su Zhe’s historicaltheses. This part carries on the discussion from four aspects: the conceptions of Su’s historicaltheses, his writing techniques, structures and la
7、nguages. In the process of discussion, the thesisconsults the theories on artistic feature of Chinese classical literature, which had done bylitterateurs in all ages. And by comparing the context of Su Zhe’s historical t
8、heses, this thesisdraws a comprehensive and fair conclusion.The third part emphasizes on studying the historical origins of Su Zhe’s historical theses’literary style. The forming of his literary style was deeply associat
9、ed with four historical origins:social environment, family knowledge, family education, ‘Zuo’s Commentary’, ‘Intrigues of theWarring States’ and so on. This part adopts the Chinese traditional “understand the writers and
10、their times” as research method, trying to show the essential factors that affected Su’s literary stylein a comprehensive and complete way.Key words:Su Zhe; historical theses; ideological content; artistic characteristic
