3、down literatures historically. This article classifies Qin characters into the inherited and newly—emerged characters ,through the historical comparison between Qin characters and those inscriptions on bones or tortoise

4、shells, on ancient bonze，Chinese characters in the early Spring and Autumn period，and the lesser seal characters in Shuo Wen Jie Zi。Our aim is to expound the Chinese characters’ traits which have come down in one continu

5、ous line. Secondly, we compare the Qin characters to those in Shi Gu Wen and Hou Ma Meng Shu horizontally, in order to explore the tendency and characteristic of Chinese characters’ development in the Spring and Autumn p

6、eriod. In addition, we make a detailed analysis to these interchange characters and variant forms in Qin characters’ defined standard and study method. Finally, there are paper’s aim and significance in the conclusion.
