3、nd belief are not only a clue carrying out the philosophy spirit and art spirit, but also the drive influencing the art expressions.Compared with Chinese and the Western philosophy, choosing to study the Chinese and the
4、Western traditional art spirits with the background of difference between their reason and belief should better incarnate the idiosyncrasy of these two cultures. Despite there are some problems can being discussed, even
5、puerile, cultures itself is a developing characteristic system, formed in the frame of history. Cultures have been always a faulty and developing system and have different meanings in the current history context by diffe
6、rent ways and perspectives we put. From the perspective of reason and belief, we can see that the practical reason and so called “belief” unite in the noumenon of Chinese culture harmoniously, being assista
7、nt and inosculate mutually, being Chinese culture’s never-failing impetus headspring. But Western culture originated in the conflicts and intercommunion owning to the reason spirit provided by Grecian culture a
8、nd religion spirit supported by Hebraic culture. Reason spirit is the basis of religion culture, while religion atmosphere is the reflection of Reason spirit. Both of the two elements exist contradictorily
9、, becoming the cause of the disconnected development of the Western culture.In the harmonious background of history, Chinese culture fashioned harmonious golden- mean art ideal and holistic art thinking
10、by intuition. But the Western art spirit pursued sense of sublime and tragedy as its ideal and art thinking emphasizing on reason, format and imitation. Driven by the difference between reason and belief,
11、 the way of expression of both Chinese and Western culture experiences great changes. The traditional Western cultures has transformed from representing to presenting, while Chinese art style has stepped into th
